Exclusive documentaries on sex work from the Quebec archives

Are you curious to learn more on sex work and gender diversity in Montreal during the 70s and 80s? Come screen two exclusive documentary films that we released from the archives of the cinémathèque québécoise on Wednesday, October 8th.

 V 47 PlusieursTombentAmourPlusieurs tombent en amour, directed by Guy Simoneau (1980), investigates the world of sex work in Montreal through testimonials of men, women, third parties and clients. This feature documentary contemplates on life, love and sex. The movie length is 107 mins. and is subtitled in English.
V 45 PlusieursTombentAmourToni, Randi and Marie, directed by Ron Hallis (1971), is a black and white film that looks at the everyday life of three people who challenge gender norms. The documentary of 48 minutes will be in French only.
